^ This will make it so you have to hold R when opening the gallery for it to launch the homebrew menu, as opposed to it opening the homebrew menu by default. Uncomment 'override_key_0=!R' (remove the ' ', then delete the '!' Other recommended changes for initial CFW setup: Copy override_config.ini from atmosphere/config_templates to atmosphere_config

It'll boot into your CFW using the payload on the MicroSD, so you never need to update the payload on the jig itself. Once you get it, I highly recommend replacing every payload with this payload. One was DOA and I didn't notice until 3 weeks after I got it (since I was purchasing it for someone else, my bad, not theirs) and they were willing to replace it, but since it was after the 15 day return window they had no process available for the return, so they offered to chuck in an extra one on my next order without returning the DOA one. See the difference in USB-C port and RCM Jig holder. See the difference in font and the RCM Jig. I hope I can help people avoid purchasing fake RCM Loader One this way.

  • See attached pictures for visual comparison.Īnother note is that the real RCM Loader One will light up blue when attached to the PC or charging through the MicroUSB port whereas the fake would light up red either way.
  • EDIT: Comment from ThePrimitiveSword noted that there are cheaper version that are real.
  • If the price of the product is lower than $17/€17 (at the time of writing) it's likely fake.
  • Check reviews for 1 star reports where is said/shown that it doesn't connect to PC, avoid this listing.
  • Check reviews for pictures of buyers where the connection to PC shows, good listing.
  • I'm not sharing the link to the real one since I do not want to advertise but I do want to let potential buyers of the RCM Loader know how to find a real one. I ordered three more from top sellers (amount sold) on AliExpress as an experiment and found that two out of those three were also fake and the third being the real deal. Likely the payload wasn't being pushed fully or would fail otherwise. I found that this fake RCM Loader One would function 7 out of 10 times and fail to boot Hekate around 3 out of 10 times. No switching between payloads (by holding the button on the front), no connection to the computer to change/update payloads. The definition of fake in this context being it holding a static copy of Hekate 5.x.x and nothing else. Sadly the one I ordered turned out to be a fake.

A while ago I ordered a RCM Loader One from AliExpress so I'd have a backup payload pusher when on the move.
